I am rapidly approaching the age of 30 and looking at my life so far, I haven’t really given much back. So I have decided that in 2010 I am going to run 10 half marathons hence 10 in 2010.
That may not sound like much but at the moment you can’t see where I am starting from. I will be putting up a ‘before’ picture so that hopefully the ‘after’ one will be much better. Keep your eyes peeled

Hi Gary
I’ve just stumbled across your blog (via the UKBF) – best of luck! That’s quite some challenge you’ve set yourself: I’ve just hit 40, a few years ago I realised that the pounds were beginning to pile on, so I needed to either eat less or exercise more. The former wasn’t too attractive so I plumped for the latter and began running. I now run a few 10Km races a year (don’t think I could manage a half marathon – hats off to you!) and feel so much better for it. I recently ran 10K for Cancer Research at Longleat – haven’t done much training of late, so it was tough, but great feeling of euphoria on finishing!
Anyway, keep it up – I’ll be watching, I’m going to follow your blog!
Best of luck and well done,
Jeff
Cheers Jeff – all is going OK so far and fingers crossed that it continues
